Luanda third in expat cost of living survey.
Africa’s most expensive city for expats, Launda (Angola), fell one place to take the number three spot in the latest global cost-of-living data provider ECA International’s Cost of Living survey.
Although dropping from second to third, Luanda’s relatively high transportation costs for the like-for-like basket of goods commonly purchased by expatriates have seen it retain its top five position in the six-monthly survey.
It is joined in the global top ten by Juba (9 – South Sudan), and Brazzaville (12 – Congo), Libreville (14 – Gabon), Pointe Noire (15 – Congo) and Kinshasa (19 – Democratic Republic of the Congo). July 2014
